So I was driving around Santa Fe a couple of Saturdays ago trolling for a public radio station and I hit on The New Yorker Radio Hour. I hear David Remnick ask a question and then I hear this woman’s VOICE, possibly the most affected voice I have ever heard, and I hate to admit this but I go straight to aversion. Who is this person and what is she doing on my show, I want to stick a sock in her mouth, and I realize its Marianne Williamson, self-appointed guru to the credulous.

Good lord, how can you manage to sound so self-important in so few words. It’s like she’s cultivated this tone to convey that her giant brain is inside her vagina that’s inside her heart, it’s breathy and aggressive at the same time. I can’t stop listening, and David Remnick, bless him, is not having it and after she makes a speech about her take on endemic racism, a speech which places her squarely at the helm of whatever ship she thinks she is sailing, he asks if she is comparing herself to Dr. King and she says no no no David, but of course she is. She damn well is.

The subject of her dream cabinet comes and she wants people who are “exquisitely aware” of various things and haha her dream pick for Secretary of State was Nicolas Kristof but haha he wrote that she didn’t belong on the debate stage and she is pretending it’s funny but I betcha she has a sage stick voodoo doll of Kristof that is full of pins.

Then the subject of Trump and after a meaningful pause she drops this remark about how if you see pictures of Trump in the 80’s and look at him now and see how much he’s changed you have to wonder and she’ll leave it at that, and David Remnick won’t let it go, what exactly is she saying and she won’t answer, she wants us to wonder what this great insight is, and he pushes her and she says DO YOUR RESEARCH, DAVID. I guess Trump was switched out for a doppelganger or something, who the fuck knows. And then I remember she is the one who said that greatest fear thing, that our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure and what the hell does that mean, I can’t even get my Comcast bill down.

Well, M.W. is not leaving gracefully, the left has been mean to her and she has HUNDREDS of people show up for her and I’ve got news for you, lady, so does Ronald MacDonald. And Donald Trump. Or is it really Donald Trump? Exit stage left.
